The Landowner Liaison Committee was formed in 1999 to oversee the Beaver River Water Quality Improvement Project. The committee consists of nine board members as well as a member of the Ministry of Natural Resources and a member of the Grey County Soil and Crop Improvement Association. This project is well into its second year and projects completed to date include exclusion fencing to protect surface water, alternate watering systems for livestock, stream crossings, stream bank stabilization, fisheries rehabilitation and tree planting. To date the committee has dispersed approximately $130,000 with the remaining $70.000 to be used in 2002 and beyond.
